THE WAY OF THE BODHISATTVA
  Home Page

Just as a mother would protect her only child even at the risk of her own life, even so let one cultivate a boundless heart towards all beings.
Let one's thoughts of boundless love pervade the whole world--above, below and across-- without obstruction, without any hatred, without any enmity. (Suttanipata, I.8)
THE MIND OF ENLIGHTENMENT (Bodhicitta)
The mind of enlightenment is the mind of love.
The living Buddha, the one who teaches love and compassion, must be manifested in the way we live. (Thich Nhat Hanh)

Once you have arrived at a state of single-pointedness, when you experience that inner transformation, that compassion within you, there is no longer a meditating mind and a meditated object. Instead, your mind is generated in the form of compassion. (Dalai Lama)

ULTIMATE TRUTH (Tattva)
The true path of enlightenment (bodhi) is that process by which the inner eye of wisdom (prajna) opens to the ultimate truth (tattva) that reality, suchness (tathata), is without any permanent and essential self (anatman) save for that empty (sunya) and ever-flowing oneness realized in the blissful extinction (nirvana) of suffering (duhkha), which only comes through full and complete releasement (moksa) to compassion (karuna). (Bodhisunya)

SUNYAVADA
We declare that whatever is relational origination is sunyata. It is a provisional name (thought construction) for the mutuality of being and, indeed, it is the middle path. (Nagarjuna)
Singer of Compassion

THE HEART OF COMPASSION
For as long as space endures,
and for as long as living beings remain,
until then may I too remain,
to dispel the misery of the world (Shantideva)

Bodhisattva Wisdom
TRUE ENLIGHTENMENT IS BEING COMPASSION (Bodhisunya)
